Where these testimonies come from
These witness stories are rooted in one sacred, life-altering season — the hour when my life hung in the balance, and heaven met us through people on earth. Some were in hospital rooms. Some were in waiting areas. Some were on the phone. Some were on their knees, praying without ceasing.

What you’re reading here is not just support — it is evidence of love, faith, and God’s mercy in motion. These voices are woven into the foundation of my book, a testimony-centered story of survival, purpose, and what happens when God writes the outcome.

Daughter / Eye Witness

Loidrina G.

The exact day my mother’s life took a turn will forever be etched in my memory like a movie scene. I remember walking down the hospital hallway, my heart pounding as I approached the ICU. It felt like each step echoed with the weight of fear and uncertainty.

When we arrived, I saw my mother lying still, surrounded by machines and tubes. The room was silent except for the beeping of monitors and the quiet hum of hospital equipment. I remember hearing someone mention that the priest had come by the room. In that moment, my stomach dropped. I had watched enough television shows to know it was never good news when the priest came out.

I also recall a time when my brother and I would cry nonstop in bed with our father, sobbing into our mother’s pillow every night. We were both deeply heartbroken. One night, the phone rang at 3:00 a.m., and we all jumped up, fearing the worst. It was the hospital calling, and we thought they were bringing bad news. My brother and I began crying even harder—but thank God! That night, our mother woke up, and our tears turned into shouts of joy.

Father / Pastor

Pastor C. H. G.

En route to Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, to see my daughter, I spoke to God and said, “Lord, I pray that Your will be done. Help me be prepared to accept Your holy will. My daughter was Yours before she became ours.”

Upon our arrival, my son-in-law led us straight to my daughter’s room in the ICU. As soon as I walked through the door, the atmosphere felt cold and damp, as if I were entering a morgue. My heart sank instantly, and I sensed that my daughter’s spirit had left her body.

This was later confirmed when I touched her hand and felt how cold it was. In that moment, I realized I was only looking at her lifeless body. Though it was a very difficult and painful experience, I could still rejoice and thank God for the 27 years He allowed us to have her on this earth.

We walked out of the room with tears in our eyes, but with peace in our hearts, trusting that God makes no mistakes. Yet, even in that moment, as a pastor and a father, I still believed in the power of prayer and the possibility of a miracle.

Mother / Prayer

Elnora G.

As her mother, I never stopped praying. Even when the doctors gave us the worst reports, I held onto faith that God had the final say. I remember laying awake at night, calling on the name of Jesus over and over again, believing that my daughter’s story was not over.

Watching her fight for her life was one of the hardest things I’ve ever endured as a mother, but I also watched God carry us through every hour, every update, and every unknown.

Friend / Eyewitness

Soronda M.

I remember getting the call that something was wrong with Regina. My heart sank, but I knew I had to be present—for her, for the family, and for the story God was writing. I saw first-hand the fear, the waiting, the tears, and the unshakeable faith in that hospital.

What I witnessed was not just pain—it was love in motion. Friends and family came together in prayer, in support, and in belief that God still performs miracles. Watching her journey unfold has forever changed how I see faith, survival, and purpose.

Family / Prayer

“We prayed without ceasing.”

“Due to my work schedule, I was unable to make i...wer of prayer and that Regina was already healed in Jesus' Name.

When we got the report that she pulled through, we gave God all the Glory!”

Friend / Reflection

“A rose kissed by God.”

“Jenesis Peaks! A strong black woman, a determined mother, a resili ent spirit, and a rose kissed by God. That’s the woman I met some years ago. Her spirit is unwavering in the task she sets her mind to. Her strong desire to shine God’s light through her eyes.

A great friend, and an inspiration to others for her unwillingness to quit or give up. That strong determination is like a beacon of light that shines through her walk, her spirit and self-being to others like a glimmer of hope in whatever anyone is dealing with in their lives.

When I heard her story, I wasn’t even surprised.”

A grateful reflection

I cannot imagine what life would be like without my mother. These witness accounts remind me that my story is not just mine—it belongs to everyone who prayed, stood, cried, believed, and refused to let go.

These are the people I call my earthly angels.
